Hey! My name is  Amal, and I’m a designer and illustrator from Texas. I hold a BA in English from Duke University, and am currently working on my MFA in Graphic Design at CalArts. My projects have included visual identity development, type design, digital illustration, and publication design.

PANJANDRUM 2026
Visual Identity, Speculative Design

Panjandrum is a fictional nation designed in response to the current state of American politics. The project combines current governmental systems with the absurd, making point to emphasize the blatant mis-leadership and systematic abuse of power. 

Within Panjandrum, the Presidents are elected at random with a nationwide lottery rather than "democratically", and politics are reimagined as a humiliation ritual instead of an ego trip.

Visual identity and packaging for Human Glow-Worms, debut album of speculative band, Falls of Creatures. The sound and look of Human Glow-Worms takes inspiration from fantastical natural phenomena.

THE JUDITH CENTER 2025
Visual Identity

Design work during my time at the Judith Center, such as event branding and asset prodution for their Grand Opening party in July 2025, as well supplementary work for their website.

SCP Files 2025
Publication

A catalog of eight entries in the SCP Foundation database. Each entry describes a different anomaly found on Earth, as well as its safety class, containment status, and any other documents detailing its condition and effect on its surroundings.
